When is the mansion open?
Linden Place is open Tuesdays-Fridays, 10am-4pm. However, we occasionally close early due to a private event. We recommend contacting the Linden Place office to confirm hours of operation at 401-253-0390 or

What is the admission price?
Admission is $12, $10 for seniors and students with an ID. Children 6-12 $5 and free for children under 6. Admission includes use of our audio tour.
Is there disability access to the mansion?
The first floor of Linden Place, our gardens, grounds and outbuildings are all handicap accessible. Our gift shop is accessible by two small steps via the rear entrance.
Disability access of the mansion’s second floor is limited as there is no elevator. The first floor of the mansion, where a majority of the tour takes place, is accessible by a ramp located at the rear entrance to the building. The audio tour highlights the history of the second floor and can be enjoyed while sitting in the mansion parlor. Please call ahead to discuss your particular needs at 401-253-0390 as we are happy to make any necessary arrangements.
Are there public restrooms?
Yes. Linden Place’s public restrooms are located in the carriage house ballroom and have full disability access.
How long is a tour?
Tour lengths vary depending on the type of tour. Our guided tour of Linden Place mansion is about one hour in length. Audio tours typically take 30-45 minutes. Our specialty tours are about 1.5 hours in length. We encourage visitors to budget about 1.5 hours total to include visiting the mansion, outbuildings and gift shop. Will there be a tour guide?
Linden Place often has docents to provide visitors with a guided tour. Guides are typically available during the mansion’s busy season, May through October. In the absence of a tour guide, Linden Place offers a self-guided audio tour. Guided tours can also be arranged by appointment, with advanced notice. The audio tour can be downloaded in advance or guests are welcome to use one of our audio tour tablets.
Does the tour include the grounds?
Before and after your tour of Linden Place Mansion you are welcome to enjoy and explore the 2 acres of the Linden Place estate, including our carriage house ballroom and garage. A separate self-guided, in-depth grounds tour is available. We also offer a guided Gardens and Grounds tour during the summer and fall seasons.
How frequently do the tours start?
Self guided audio tours are offered at any time during our regular operating hours. Please check back for a schedule of when we will be offering guided tours!
Can I schedule a group tour?
Linden Place is delighted to welcome groups of any size to visit the mansion and grounds. Group tours must be scheduled in advance. Contact the office at 401-253-0390 or email

Can I bring a stroller to Linden Place?
Linden Place welcomes strollers anywhere on the grounds on the estate. However, strollers are not allowed within the mansion. At the start of your tour, we will place your stroller in a secure area where you can pick it up at the conclusion of your tour.
Is there any food available for purchase?
Linden Place does not have food available for sale. We welcome visitors to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the grounds before or after their tour or to enjoy one of the many local restaurants that surround Linden Place in downtown Bristol. Is photography allowed?
Linden Place visitors are encouraged to take non-flash photos inside the mansion or on the grounds. If you post your photos on social media and tag @lindenplace and #lindenplace, you could get a special thanks from the Linden Place staff or even win a prize!
Can I bring my pet to Linden Place?
At this time, Linden Place does not allow pets inside the mansion. We of course, allow service dogs.
